John Garcia is a seasoned professional in the field of technology and education, currently serving as the Director of IT Service Management at UTHSCSA since December 2002. With a strong commitment to enhancing the integration of technology in education, John has spent over a decade planning and overseeing initiatives that have transformed educational delivery in the healthcare sector. Prior to this role, John served in the US Navy as a Dental Tech from March 1993 to March 1999. John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Educational/Instructional Technology from the University of Texas at Brownsville and an Associate's degree in Network and System Administration from St Philip's College.
