Laura G Hunter, PhD, currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and KUEN Station Manager at Utah Education Network, a position held since March 1999, where responsibilities include leading online education services for public and higher education in Utah. With experience as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Utah from August 2002 to June 2020, Laura played a key role in founding the Instructional Design and Educational Technology program and developed innovative courses. Previous roles include State Internet Specialist with the Utah State Board of Education, where Laura conducted technology training and managed projects, and serving as a Classroom Teacher for Gifted & Talented with Salt Lake City School District, contributing to national educational technology reforms. Laura holds a PhD in Teaching and Learning, an M.Ed. in Educational Studies, and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, all from the University of Utah.

Utah Education Network
The Utah Education Network is a statewide broadband and broadcast network established by the Utah Legislature in 1989. Based on the number of students served, if UEN were a school district, it would rank third behind New York City and Los Angeles in the scope of services provided. However our services reach well beyond our 612,00 students in public education. We also serve 174,000 higher education students and applied technology students. Add to that more than 64,000 educators and staff K-12 through college.
