Liz Allred has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Liz started their career in 1985 as an Assistant Director of Federal Relations at the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges, where they worked until 1993. Liz then joined Utah State University in 1994 as a Business Officer in the Department of Biology, a role they held until 2007. During their time at Utah State University, they also worked as a Part-time Instructor of French in the Department of Languages, Philosophy, and Communications Studies from 2003 to 2019. In 2007, they became the Program Director of Global Learning at the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.

Liz Allred holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Brigham Young University. In 2021, they obtained a certification in "How to Become a Thought Leader and Advance Your Career" from LinkedIn.
