Mike Young

Regional Director, Logan Small Business Development Center at Utah State University

Mike Young has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Mike started their career at Utah State University in 2009 as the Associate Director of Entrepreneurial Programs. In 2011, they worked as a Technology Commercialization Consultant at the Water Research Laboratory. In 2012, Mike became the Assistant Director of the Logan Small Business Development Center at Utah State University. The following year, they were promoted to Regional Director of the same center. In 2016, they joined Precipice Consulting Services, LLC as the Managing Director, where they lead a team in helping organizations overcome growth-limiting factors through various consulting projects. From 2005 to 2011, Mike served as the General Manager at High Creek Equestrian.

Mike Young earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance & Economics from Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business between 2005 and 2008. Mike later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Entrepreneurship from the same institution, completing it between 2008 and 2010. Additionally, Mike obtained several certifications including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from IASSC and the Certified Global Business Professional designation from NASBITE International, both in 2013. Mike also earned the Certified Business Analyst certification from the Utah Small Business Development Center Network in 2012.
