Zach Buie

Zach Buie is an accomplished musician and music educator currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Music at Boise State University since June 2019, where instruction includes applied trumpet, music history, brass techniques, and trumpet literature. Active in performance, Zach holds multiple substitute and extra trumpet positions with notable ensembles, including the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Utah Symphony | Utah Opera, and Macao Orchestra. Zach's extensive experience also features roles as an adjunct instructor at Western Wyoming Community College and an applied trumpet instructor at Park City Schools. Zach's educational background includes a Doctor of Musical Arts in Instrumental Performance from the University of Utah, a Master's Degree in Trumpet Performance from Baylor University, and a Bachelor of Music Studies in Music Education from The University of Texas at Austin.
