Julia E. Barksdale

Julia E. Barksdale, AIA, is an accomplished architect currently serving at Utile since May 2021, where roles include Architect and Architectural Designer. Previously, Julia contributed as a Lecturer at Boston University in early 2024 and held a leadership position as Chair of the Mental Health Task Force for the American Institute of Architecture Students from September 2021 to September 2022. Julia's background includes significant experience in structural design with Freedom by Design at Northeastern University and retail and design roles at Soluna Garden Farm and various architectural firms. Julia earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Northeastern University and a Master of Architecture from the same institution, complemented by studies at IE University.
