Our online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree program consists of seven different specialty tracks for students wanting to advance their careers. We also offer two doctoral degrees that prepare graduates to improve patient care, influence healthcare policy and advance knowledge through translational research: the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program (DNP) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD). Where do our nursing graduates work? Everywhere. We are proud to have more than 14,000 alumni all over the U.S. and abroad who play an active role our school’s success. For more than 130 years, UTMB SON has given its students the very best opportunity to become the very best nursing professionals they can be. Yes, UTMB SON is proud to claim the distinction of being the first nursing school in Texas and the first in the U.S. west of the Mississippi, but we are equally proud that we have always focused on the future.
