Bart van de Laar

Bart Van De Laar currently serves as the Head of International Affairs and Programme Leader at Universiteit Utrecht since June 2020, overseeing the university's international strategy and partnerships. Prior experience includes a long tenure at the University of Groningen, where roles encompassed Strategy Advisor, Programme Manager for China, Head of Science LinX, and more. Bart also contributed to various organizations, such as the British Council and Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten, providing strategic advisory services. With a significant impact on science communication, Bart has hosted events like FameLab and participated in educational innovations, reflecting a strong dedication to integrating science and education for diverse audiences. Bart holds a Master’s degree in Biology and Environmental Studies from Radboud University and has pursued further education in management and leadership.
