David Kakembo

David Kakembo is a dedicated professional currently serving as a PhD Candidate at Utrecht University and as a Senior Biotechnologist at the Uganda Industrial Research Institute. With a robust background in molecular biology, David has contributed to the National Agricultural Research Organisation - NARO since April 2019 in both research and volunteer roles, while also gaining valuable experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant at UGent from February 2020 to January 2022, where responsibilities included teaching practical courses in molecular biological analysis, microbiology, biochemistry, and immunology. David holds a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Jeonbuk National University and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Makerere University.
