Gonneke Marina Ton

Gonneke Marina Ton is a researcher and project manager at Universiteit Utrecht, focusing on the Economic Resilience of Women in the Netherlands program, which identifies barriers affecting women’s employment. Gonneke also engages in a postdoctoral project addressing the challenges faced by unemployed women without benefits. Previously, Gonneke was a PhD student at the University of Groningen, exploring the ambivalence in polarized societal debates. Additional experience includes roles as a summer research intern at KU Leuven, research assistant positions at both Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and the Centre for Human Drug Research, and involvement in various educational and organizational capacities. Gonneke holds a PhD in Social Psychology and a Research Master in Behavioral and Social Sciences from the University of Groningen, as well as a BSc in Psychology from Leiden University.
