Jan Kimpen

Jan Kimpen is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health and technology. Currently serving as the Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board for the Unit Health and Work at TNO since January 2025, Kimpen also holds positions as a Board Member at Elekta, Member of the Supervisory Board at the University of Twente, and Deerns, and as an Executive Advisor at JK Toezicht en Advies. In addition, Kimpen is a Venture Partner at Sanara Capital, focusing on health-tech investments. Kimpen has been a Professor of Pediatrics and Dean at Utrecht University since 1998 and has held key roles at Philips, including Senior Medical Advisor and SVP, and previously served as Chief Medical Officer. Other significant contributions include a tenure as a Board Member of COCIR and participation in the Global Future Council on Health and Healthcare at the World Economic Forum. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from KU Leuven and certifications in Lean management.
