Joel S. Koenig M.D.

Joel S. Koenig, MD, has an extensive medical career with over three decades of experience in pediatrics. Currently serving as the Chairman of the Credentials Committee at Missouri Baptist Medical Center since 2000, Joel has also owned Town and Country Pediatrics since 1990. As a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Washington University in St. Louis since 1988, Joel previously held a position as a neonatologist, focusing research on pharyngeal physiology and SIDS pathophysiology. Prior to these roles, Joel was the Chief of Pediatrics for BJC HealthCare until 2018 and practiced as a pediatrician at St. Louis Children's Hospital from 1982 to 1987. Educational credentials include an MD from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and a B.S. in Biology from Yale University.
