Laura Giordano

Laura Giordano, PhD, is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD fellow at Universiteit Utrecht, where research focuses on modeling microbiota-gut-kidney crosstalk using organ-on-chip technology. The work investigates the impact of diet and microbiota-derived metabolites on the gut-kidney axis, emphasizing the relationship between gut dysbiosis and disease outcomes. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Assistant in Antimicrobial Stewardship at Inserm, where a systematic review on computerized decision support systems was authored, and participation as a Delegate at the London Model World Health Organization.
