Mehdi Dastani

Mehdi Dastani is a prominent academic in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, currently serving as the Chair of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Science division and Co-chair of the Human-centered Artificial Intelligence focus area at Utrecht University since 2012. Dastani's roles include being a Professor, Program Leader of the Master's programme in Artificial Intelligence, and previously held positions as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor from 2001 to 2011. Prior experience includes postdoctoral work at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam, along with a research assistant role at the University of Amsterdam. Dastani holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, an MSc in Philosophy, and an MSc in Computer Science, all from the University of Amsterdam.
