Roy van Beekveld

Roy van Beekveld is a Promovendus and student-assistant at Universiteit Utrecht, actively involved in courses related to biomolecular chemistry and membrane proteins since February 2022. With a strong background in science, Roy obtained a Master of Science in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences from Utrecht University in 2022, following a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the same institution. Roy has extensive experience in local politics as the treasurer and campaign coordinator for D66 Meierijstad since 2013, previously serving as campaign leader during the 2016 reorganization elections, and as secretary for the D66 branch in a preceding term. Roy's academic roles at Universiteit Utrecht include assisting in various undergraduate courses, showcasing a commitment to both education and civic engagement.
