Utrechts Landschap
Johannes ('Hans') Brug is an accomplished public health professional currently serving as the Director General of RIVM National Institute for Public Health and the Environment since September 2018, focusing on the prevention and control of infectious diseases. Brug chairs the meetings of Dutch National 'knowledge' institutes and holds the position of Chair of the supervisory board at Utrechts Landschap. Additionally, Brug is a Professor of Health Behavior at the University of Amsterdam, where prior roles included Dean of the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences. Past leadership includes Chair of the Health Committee at OECD-OCDE and various supervisory board memberships. Brug holds a PhD in Health Sciences from Maastricht University and multiple degrees in Human Nutrition and Epidemiology.

Utrechts Landschap
Utrechts Landschap is dé beschermer van natuur en cultuur in provincie Utrecht. Onze natuur en cultuur is letterlijk dicht bij Utrechters. Ons hoofdkantoor is gevestigd op landgoed Oostbroek in De Bilt, tegen de gemeentegrens van Utrecht aan. Sinds 1927 kopen we natuurgebieden aan, ontwikkelen ze als het nodig is, maar vooral: we beheren natuur voor de eeuwigheid. Die prachtige natuurgebieden zijn bijna allemaal vrij toegankelijk voor alle inwoners van onze provincie. Daarnaast hebben we belangrijk monumentaal erfgoed onder onze hoede. Meerdere landgoederen met opstallen, 23 werkende molens en natuurlijk Kasteel Loenersloot. Bij Utrechts Landschap werken zo’n 50 professionals. Zonder onbescheiden te willen zijn: we doen echt heel veel. Dat kan alleen mede dankzij de onbetaalbare inzet van maar liefst 700 vrijwilligers. En natuurlijk dankzij 28.000 inwoners van Utrecht die ons jaarlijks steunen door Beschermer te zijn of door een schenking te doen. Tientallen bedrijfsvrienden maken ons dagelijks werk en speciale projecten mogelijk. Wij worden gesteund door de provincie Utrecht en door Nationale Postcode Loterij.
