Colin Cain has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Colin began their career in 1999 as a Small Business Development Volunteer with the Peace Corps. After that, they worked as a Program Coordinator at the Latino Economic Development Center from 2002 to 2003. Subsequently, they joined Chemonics International as a Manager from 2003 to 2005. In 2009, they became a Program Director at The University of Texas-Pan American, where they worked until 2015. From 2015 to 2016, they served as the Director of Special Programs at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Colin then advanced to the position of Program Director in Economic Development until 2021. Starting from 2021, they assumed multiple roles including Executive Director for Business and Rural Development and Director of the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Advancement at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, they held the position of Director at UTRGV Texas Rural Cooperative Center from 2016 to 2022.
Colin Cain earned their Bachelor's degree in Economics from Williams College, where they attended from 1995 to 1999.
