Hector Arteaga

Hector Arteaga serves as a Senior Engineering Technician at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley since March 1994, where responsibilities include planning, supervising, and performing mechanical and construction/maintenance work. Prior to this role, Hector worked as a CNC operator at National Oilwell from September 1990 to 1995, manufacturing components for oil rigs and gaining expertise in assembling parts and testing various types of valves. Educational credentials include an Associate's Degree in Precision Manufacturing, CNC Programming, and MasterCam from South Texas College (2011-2013) and a Certificate of Completion in Machine Shop from Texas State Technical College Harlingen (1989-1990), along with a high school diploma from Edinburg High School.
