David Coury is an accomplished academic and community leader with extensive experience in higher education and cultural programming. Currently serving as Co-Director of the Center for Civic Engagement and the Center for Middle East Studies and Partnerships at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, David Coury has been instrumental in teaching courses in German, Humanities, and Global Studies while chairing a 30+ interdisciplinary department. Additionally, as Director of the Green Bay Film Society since 1999, David Coury has organized the Green Bay International Film Series, providing access to international films and fostering community discussions. David Coury's prior roles include Board Member at the Richard Mauthe Center and Vice Chair at Film Green Bay. With a strong educational background, including an MA and PhD in Germanic Languages from the University of Cincinnati and a BA in German and Biology from Wittenberg University, David Coury has established a significant presence in both academia and cultural engagement.
