Jamila Hamdan

Jamila Hamdan is currently serving as the Lead Genetic Counseling Assistant at UW Health, a position held since July 2024, following previous experience as a Genetic Counseling Assistant in Medical Genetics. Prior roles include Genetic Counseling Assistant-Oncology at UW Carbone Cancer Center, and various coaching and support roles in soccer, including Goalkeeper Coach for Madison 56ers Soccer Club and Edgewood High School. Additionally, Jamila has experience as a Legal Secretary with the Wisconsin State Public Defender and a Line Therapist with Achieving Collaborative Treatment. Earlier work includes bartending at Starbucks and coaching for Wisconsin Athletics. Jamila holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Genetics and Genomics as well as Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed in 2022.
