Mike Polizzotto

Mike Polizzotto currently serves as the Associate Chief Medical Information Officer and Regional Director of Medical Informatics at UW Health since March 2022. At the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford, Mike has held roles as Clinical Associate Professor and Associate Professor of Clinical Family Medicine since October 2005, contributing to teaching and patient care in a Family Medicine residency program. Previously, Mike was the Chief Medical Officer and Chief Medical Information Officer at UW Health SwedishAmerican from May 2010 to February 2022, where responsibilities included leadership in EHR transitions and quality care standards. Additional experience includes serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and practicing as a Staff Physician at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. Mike Polizzotto earned an MD from The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and a BS in Psychology from Brigham Young University.
