Pete Haried, Ph.D., currently serves as the Chair of the Information Systems Department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse (UWL) since June 2017, where notable accomplishments include a 25% increase in program enrollment through program restructuring and enhanced outreach. In addition to their role as Department Chair, Pete is also an Information Systems Professor, teaching various undergraduate and graduate courses, and serves as the Academic Director of the Health Information Management and Technology Program, overseeing curriculum and personnel management. Previously, Pete held positions at UWL as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in Information Systems and has experience teaching at SUNY Oneonta and the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. Pete's professional background includes consulting roles at Arthur Anderson and internships with CUNA Mutual Group and GE Healthcare. Pete earned a PhD in Management Information Systems from Lubar College of Business, an MBA from UWL, and a BA in Management Computer Systems and Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
