Amy P Wilson is an accomplished legal educator and animal welfare advocate with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor at FAMU College of Law and a Research Associate and Law Lecturer at the University of Johannesburg, Amy also holds the position of Acting Executive Director at Animal Law Reform South Africa, co-founding the organization and previously leading as Executive Director. With additional affiliations as a Senior Adjunct Lecturer at the University of the Western Cape and an Independent Expert with the United Nations in the Harmony with Nature Programme, Amy has significantly contributed to animal protection initiatives across Africa, including roles with Lawyers for Animal Protection in Africa, Africa Network for Animal Welfare, and the Coalition of African Animal Welfare Organisations. Academically, Amy is pursuing a Doctorate in Law (LLD) at the University of Johannesburg, complementing advanced degrees in Animal Law, Company Law, and a Bachelor's in Law.
