Mattia Vaccari

Mattia Vaccari currently serves as the eResearch Director and Astroinformatics Research Professor at the University of Cape Town since September 2022, and holds a similar position at the University of the Western Cape since November 2011. Responsibilities include the development of science exploitation tools for radio surveys with MeerKAT and SKA at the Inter-University Institute for Data Intensive Astronomy (IDIA), along with multi-wavelength galaxy formation and evolution studies. Prior experience includes a Research Fellow position at the University of Padova from September 2005 to November 2011 and at Imperial College London from November 2003 to September 2005. Mattia Vaccari holds a PhD in Space Science & Technology and a BSc & MSc in Physics from Università degli Studi di Padova, along with a High School Diploma in Scientific Studies from Liceo Scientifico.
