Shaun Pather

Shaun Pather serves as the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and Professor of Information Systems at the University of the Western Cape since July 2016, holding additional roles as Deputy Dean of Research and Chair of the Department of Information Systems. In conjunction with academic responsibilities, Shaun Pather is the Chairperson of the Board at Zenzeleni Networks, a not-for-profit organization, since July 2019. Prior experience includes leadership positions at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology from May 2007 to June 2016, where Shaun Pather directed strategic initiatives, partnerships, and contract research, emphasizing research project management and postgraduate supervision. Shaun Pather also served as a Board Member for the Universal Service and Access Agency of South Africa from September 2008 to November 2011, focusing on expanding access to ICT across diverse communities in South Africa.
