Alan Wilkins serves as the President of Glamorgan Cricket since March 2024. As a Workshop Facilitator at The University of the West Indies starting July 2020, Alan has been involved in an online sports broadcasting course in collaboration with Daren Ganga. Experience in television presenting and commentary spans several decades, including significant tenures at ESPN Star Sports, ITV, and BBC, where Alan hosted major sports events such as rugby and cricket. Previous roles include editor for SABC’s English Radio Service, managing sports programming in South Africa, and earlier professional cricket experience with Glamorgan County Cricket Club and Gloucestershire CCC. Alan holds a Bachelor of Education degree from Loughborough University, specializing in Physical Education and History.
