Andrew Balgobin

Andrew Balgobin is an accomplished instructor and researcher specializing in Energy Systems at The University of the West Indies since August 2015. With a focus on Renewable Energy, Smart Grid, Electric Vehicles, and Power System Design, Planning, and Operation in the Caribbean, Balgobin contributes to significant advancements in the field. Previous experience includes serving as an Electrical Engineering Teaching Assistant and Course Coordinator from September 2012 to May 2013, where responsibilities included tutoring and developing coursework in Power Systems Control and Stability and Power Economics. Balgobin holds a Master's degree in Applied Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering with a concentration in Energy Systems, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus.
