Jan Doornaert

Jan Doornaert is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in system engineering and application support. Currently serving as a Systeemingenieur at UZ Gent since May 2017, Jan focuses on maintaining and optimizing the IT systems of the Ghent University Hospital, particularly Oracle Databases. Previously, Jan held senior roles at Ablynx from January 2012 to April 2017, enhancing the Ablynx Document Management System and SharePoint environment. As a Project Manager at RADAR Automation from August 2004 to December 2011, responsibilities included managing software projects in the compound feed sector. Early career positions included Oracle DBA and Applications Developer at Fruit of the Loom from October 2000 to July 2004 and Software Engineer at Barco Graphics from February 1994 to September 2000. Jan holds a degree in Industrieel Ingenieur, Electronics, Informatics, from Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende, obtained between 1989 and 1993.
