Mieke Deschepper

Mieke Deschepper is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in healthcare and agricultural data analysis. Since November 2012, Mieke has been with UZ Gent, where responsibilities include establishing a new division, overseeing the scorecard project focused on quality data using IBM Cognos tools, and conducting in-depth analysis of various datasets. Prior to this role, Mieke served as a data analyst at BASF CropDesign, specializing in rice plant data analysis, and as a stafmedewerker beleidsinformatie at AZ Maria Middelares Gent, providing critical scoreboards for management. Earlier career positions include Diensthoofd MKG at Stedelijk Ziekenhuis Roeselare, leading data coding and reporting, and biostatistician at SGS Life Science Services, analyzing clinical studies. Mieke holds a PhD in Health Sciences, a MaNaMa in Statistical Data Analysis, and a Licentiaat in Informatica, all from Ghent University.
