Erik Schils

Erik Schils has extensive experience in the IT field, currently serving as Technical Lead IT and Project Leader IT at UZ Leuven since May 1993. Additionally, Erik held roles as Head of IT Helpdesk and Senior Systems Engineer during this tenure. From April 2006 to December 2021, Erik was the VMUG Leader for Belgium, reflecting leadership within the VMware User Group. Early in Erik's career, a position in Production Planning at Ford Motor Company involved planning production doors and ordering materials, along with managing a small project using Lotus 123. Erik's educational background includes ongoing studies at HUB-EHSAL since 2013, and previous studies at Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg and St Lambertus College Bilzen between 1982 and 1990.
