Karen Zwaenepoel is a highly experienced academic and clinical scientist with a strong background in molecular analysis and biology. Currently serving as Bijzonder Academisch Personeel at the University of Antwerp since November 2014 and as a Clinical Scientist at UZA since April 2009, Karen specializes in techniques such as FISH, IHC, (RT-)PCR, and NGS analysis, along with project management of clinical studies. Previous experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Scientist at KU Leuven, focusing on molecular cell biology techniques. Karen holds multiple degrees from KU Leuven, including a PhD in Medical Sciences, a Teaching degree in Biomedical Sciences, and a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences, as well as a micro degree in Artificial Intelligence obtained from HOWEST Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen.
