Magali Timmermans

Magali Timmermans is a seasoned professional in the field of psychology and education with extensive experience in child welfare and forensic psychology. Currently serving as a Medical Management Assistant at UZA since January 2022, Magali supports legal experts and is involved in quality assurance and internal auditing for certifications related to forensic autopsies. Previously, from February 2016 to June 2022, Magali worked at Vertrouwenscentrum Kindermishandeling Antwerpen as a caregiver and perpetrator therapist, addressing child abuse concerns through direct communication with parents and adolescents. Prior experience at Jeugdzorg Emmaüs from July 2008 to February 2016 encompassed roles such as supervisor and facilitator for educational projects focusing on relationships, sexuality, and restorative mediation for juvenile offenders. Magali holds a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Psychology with a specialization in clinical psychology from Lessius Hogeschool and additional qualifications in secondary education and training methodologies.
