Muriel Tegenbos

Muriel Tegenbos has been serving at UZA since July 2004, currently holding the position of Hoofdverpleegkundige for both Gastro-enterologie & hepatologie and dermatologie, as well as overseeing the mobiele equipe and loopwaak, while managing patient care staffing budgets and allocations. Muriel also leads the Productive Ward project, implementing Lean management principles across 24 nursing units to improve care processes. Previously, Muriel worked as a mentor and nurse in Gynaecologie and Hepatobiliaire heelkunde & endocrinologie. Additionally, Muriel was part of the academic staff at the University of Antwerp from September 2011 to August 2013, supervising master theses and delivering lectures. Educational qualifications include a Master in Science of Nursing from the University of Antwerp, a Kandidaat in Medisch-Sociale Wetenschappen from Ghent University, and a Bachelor of Midwifery from Karel de Grote-Hogeschool.
