Dhananjay Kumar

Dhananjay Kumar is a seasoned professional in design, currently serving as Design Manager at VIP Industries Limited since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Professor at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, where Dhananjay contributed to the School of Design. Dhananjay also held the position of Lead Product Designer at Shimera Project Lighting, focusing on bespoke lighting installations for retail and hospitality. Earlier experience encompasses serving as Research Project Lead at the Industrial Design Centre, IIT Bombay, where Dhananjay developed a smart lighting solution for heritage buildings, and as Product Designer at Jaquar & Company Private Limited, specializing in product design and branding. Dhananjay began in the design field as a Design Intern at Samsonite India Pvt Ltd. Educational qualifications include a Master’s in Industrial Design from the National Institute of Design and a Bachelor's degree in Accessory Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, India.
