Lewis Spencer has worked in a variety of roles since 2004, starting as a Sales Assistant at Sainsbury's. In 2005, they moved to Chelsea Technologies Group Ltd as a Technician/Programmer, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of an automatic calibration system for underwater transducers and hydrophones, as well as contributing to an EU Report on BRIMON. In 2008, they took on an EPSRC Internship at Intelligent Media Systems and Services, where they developed a web crawler that automatically generated an SQL database of academics, their publications, references and co-authors. In 2010, Lewis began working at Northrop Grumman Remotec UK Ltd as a Development Engineer, where they were part of a small team developing the next generation of large sized EOD ROVs. From 2012 to 2016, they were a Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Birmingham, where they worked on real-time image processing systems for image segmentation and stereo matching, as well as developing OpenGL graphics interfaces for data/video display. Finally, from 2016 to 2022, Lewis was a Team Lead Software Engineer (Graphics) and Virutal Reality Software Developer at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd. Lewis is currently employed at Vaarst as an Unreal Developer.
Lewis Spencer obtained a Master's Degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the University of Reading between 2006 and 2010.
