Filipa Almeida

Filipa Almeida has a diverse work experience in the field of biotechnology. Filipa started their career as an intern at AtralCipan in 2013. Filipa then worked as a Master Thesis student at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, where they focused on overexpression of mTOR in recombinant CHO cell lines for improving cell culture bioprocesses and antibody production.

In 2016, Filipa joined iBET - Instituto de Biologia Experimental e Tecnológica, where they held the roles of Bioprocess Technician and Research Fellow at the Pilot Plant. At iBET, they gained experience in various aspects of bioprocessing and pilot-scale production.

In 2017, Filipa joined Lonza as a Biotechnologist, where their responsibilities included the production of biopharmaceuticals and mammalian cell culture manipulation at manufacturing scale, while adhering to high quality standards and GMP regulations.

Filipa then moved to PsiOxus Therapeutics Ltd in 2019, where they worked as a Process Development Scientist. Filipa later progressed to the role of Process Development Scientist II. At PsiOxus Therapeutics, they focused on process development for therapeutic products.
