Ketan Patel

Ketan Patel has extensive work experience in the scientific and pharmaceutical field. Ketan is currently employed as a Senior CMC Analytical Scientist at Vaccitech since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Evotec as a Senior Scientist from January 2019 to June 2022. Ketan also served as a Senior Analytical Scientist at Midatech Pharma PLC from November 2015 to December 2018.

Before joining Midatech Pharma, Ketan worked at the University of Leicester in various roles. Ketan was a Postdoctoral Research Associate from October 2011 to July 2015, where they focused on quantitative analysis of cell turnover for personalizing treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Ketan also worked as a Research Assistant / PhD Cancer Chemoprevention from July 2006 to September 2011, and as a Research Technician / Research Assistant from June 2003 to June 2006.

Ketan's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Analytical Chemistry Technician at Masterfoods from November 2001 to May 2003. In this role, they were responsible for the determination and quantitative analysis of vitamin levels in various products and biological samples using HPLC.

Ketan Patel completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biological Sciences from the University of Leicester, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Later, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at the same university from 2006 to 2011. Their research during their PhD focused on exploring the potential cancer chemopreventive properties of resveratrol metabolites.
