Frank Palmieri

Frank Palmieri is a seasoned materials and process engineer with extensive experience in aerospace and advanced materials. Currently serving as a Senior Materials and Process Engineer at VÆRIDION since May 2025, Palmieri previously held the role of Expert Materials and Process Engineer at Lilium, where responsibilities included material selection and failure analysis for eVTOL aircraft. Prior to this, Palmieri spent a decade at NASA Langley Research Center as a Senior Research Materials Engineer, focusing on specialized surface engineering for aerospace applications. Early career experiences include research roles at the National Institute of Aerospace and Photonik Zentrum Hessen, along with a solid academic foundation, earning a PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
