Daniel L. Pennington is the Chief External Affairs Officer & President of Vail Health Foundation at Vail Health. Daniel has previously served as the Chief Philanthropy Officer for Via Christi Health and as the Assistant Chair for Development for Mayo Clinic.

Pennington has over 15 years of experience in fundraising and development, with a focus on healthcare. Daniel has a proven track record of success in raising funds for large healthcare organizations.

At Vail Health, Pennington is responsible for leading the fundraising efforts for the organization. Daniel oversees all aspects of Vail Health's fundraising, including strategic planning, budgeting, and personnel management.

Under Pennington's leadership, Vail Health has seen a significant increase in donations and support from the community. Thanks to their dedication and hard work, Vail Health is able to provide quality healthcare to the people of Colorado.

Daniel L. Pennington has a MA in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy at Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis, a BSJ in Advertising from the William Allan White School of Journalism & Mass Communications at The University of Kansas, and is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) from The American College of Financial Services. Daniel has also done Non Degree Seeking Course Work at the Midwest Center for Non Profit Management at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

They work with Barry Hammaker - Chief Medical Officer, Nico Brown - Chief Strategy Officer, and Chris Lindley - Chief Population Health Officer & Executive Director of Eagle Valley Behavioral Health. Their manager is Will Cook, President & CEO.
