Erin Ashley Porterfield

Erin Ashley Porterfield is an experienced professional with a background in venture capital and executive support. Currently serving as an Associate at Valar Ventures LLC since July 2019, Erin has previously held roles including Executive Assistant to the Founder at Marcato Capital Management and Executive Assistant at Digital Reasoning. Between 2011 and 2016, Erin contributed to Valar Ventures Management LLC as an Associate and supported the COO at Thiel Capital as an Executive Assistant. Early career experience includes managing medical records at Reeves-Sain Pharmacy and an internship with MTV Networks focusing on Vh1 Off-Air Creative, where exposure to various aspects of the entertainment industry was gained. Erin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Middle Tennessee State University, earned in 2009.
