George Salakirov

George Salakirov is an experienced technology leader currently serving as the CTO of Valarian since July 2024, focusing on developing software for digital sovereignty aimed at protecting sensitive data for businesses and government entities. Prior to Valarian, George held the position of VP of Engineering at Nium, where responsibilities included overseeing global engineering efforts for Travel products. George also served as a Senior Engineering Manager and Tech Site Lead at Flexport, optimizing customs clearance processes while managing the Amsterdam Tech Site. Previous experience includes leadership roles at Uber, BulPros, and JetSystems Ltd., as well as early career positions in game development and web development. George holds a degree from the University of National and World Economy, obtained between 2005 and 2008.
