Joost Berkelmans has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and business intelligence. Joost started their career as a Student Software Engineer at Hogeschool van Amsterdam and then worked as an Intern at GridLine, where they primarily used Java for programming. Later, Joost joined Telegraaf Media Group as a BI consultant, where they completed the development of the Datawarehouse using Microsoft SSIS and SQL Server. Joost also reconstructed packages into Stored Procedures. Joost then joined Red Data as a Junior Business Intelligence Consultant, where they developed BI solutions for customers using Microsoft BI tools and continued to develop the Soda application, a social media data aggregator. At FNV Bondgenoten, they worked as a BI consultant, anonymizing CRM data for testing and development purposes and validating addresses. Joost also worked at IBM as an SQL Server DBA and at Valcon (prev. VIQTOR DAVIS) as a Datawarehouse specialist/Data Engineer.
Joost Berkelmans completed their education at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences from 2008 to 2012, earning a Bachelor's degree in Information and Communication Technology with a specialization in Software Engineering. Prior to that, they attended Baken Park Lyceum from 2000 to 2006, where they obtained a Gymnasium degree with a focus on Profiel N&G (Natuur en Gezondheid).
In addition to their formal education, Joost Berkelmans has acquired several certifications in the field of technology.
