Sebastiaan van Nijen

Sebastiaan van Nijen has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Data Specialist at Valcon since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Plat4mation as a Platform Consultant from July 2018 to April 2022. Sebastiaan also gained experience as a Student Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht from September 2016 to May 2018.

Sebastiaan van Nijen obtained their Master's degree in Business Informatics from Utrecht University, where they studied from 2019 to 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Science at Utrecht University from 2015 to 2018. In 2014, they attended Utrecht University, although the degree obtained during that time is unknown. Sebastiaan began their educational journey at Overbetuwe College Bemmel, where they completed VWO(+) in Natuur & Techniek / Natuur & Gezondheid from 2008 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Sebastiaan has obtained various certifications. In 2018, they became a ServiceNow Certified System Administrator. In 2021, they earned the Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org. In 2022, they obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals certifications from Microsoft. Lastly, in 2023, they completed the Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals certification from Databricks.
