Allan Maia

Allan Maia is a highly experienced geotechnical engineer with a career spanning over 16 years, currently serving as a Specialist Geotechnical Engineer and Master Engineer at Vale since February 2012. Allan's expertise encompasses planning and management of various mining projects, including open pit slope stability, tunnels, and tailings dams. Previously, Allan contributed as a tunneling consultant for the Ceará Water Belt Project at VBA Tecnologia e Engenharia, and worked as a civil engineer analyzing infrastructure projects at Prodec Consultoria Ltd. and the Brazilian Agency of Ground Transportation. Allan has also held positions at Coffey Geotechnics and Geoconsult Latinoamerica, enhancing skills in geotechnical monitoring and underground engineering projects. Academic qualifications include a D.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering from Universidade de Brasília, along with additional degrees from Queen's University and Universidade de Fortaleza.
