Marcia Roman

Marcia Roman is an experienced counselor and educator currently serving as a Counselor/Faculty Member at Valencia College since May 2015. Roman is a certified Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher who specializes in developmental advising, encompassing life, career, and educational planning as well as student success skills and workforce preparedness. Previous roles include Hospice Chaplain at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care, where spiritual care was provided to terminally ill patients, and Vice President of Student Affairs at Seminole State College of Florida, overseeing various student services for a large student body. Roman's extensive background in education and student services is complemented by leadership positions at Daytona State College, Harrisburg Area Community College, and Fuller Theological Seminary, where notable contributions included launching educational programs and developing career services. Marcia Roman holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida and multiple degrees from Fuller Theological Seminary and the University of Scranton.
