Rachel Acosta

Rachel Acosta is a seasoned professional in the field of education and talent acquisition, currently serving as a Talent Acquisition Partner, Sr. and Associate Professor for Student Success at Valencia College since August 2016. In this dual role, Rachel provides instruction, mentorship, and academic advising to facilitate successful college transitions for students. Previous experience includes serving as an Academic Advisor at New Student Orientation, where Rachel offered developmental advising and guided students in career and educational planning. Additionally, Rachel worked as an Administrative Assistant in Academic Affairs, where responsibilities included student support, scheduling, event coordination, and social media management. Prior to Valencia College, Rachel served as a Campus Recruiter at St. Petersburg College and as an AVID Program Specialist at Lake County Schools, focusing on college readiness and support for underrepresented students. Rachel holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of Central Florida.
