Created in January 2006 from the merger of SA Maurice Delens and Van Rymenant, SA Valens prides itself on its long-standing experience and turns to good account its expertise and know-how in the construction sector in Belgium. Valens encompasses numerous sectors of activity, such as : Civil engineering: metro trains, high speed trains (TGV), rapid-transit suburban trains (RER), bridges, viaducts, tunnels, storm basins, etc. The construction of new buildings (offices, hospitals, shopping centres, housing, cultural and sports centres, community facilities, industrial buildings, etc.) The renovation and restoration of both listed and non-listed buildings. Projects relating to the environment (sorting centres, composting equipment, sustainable development, etc.) Projects relating to asbestos removal, acoustic insulation and fire resistance. Still today, numerous creations reflect the company’s ability to respond to a market which is constantly evolving. A few examples: the high-speed train viaducts of Herve and Battice, the North-Midi junction, the Wolubilis cultural complex, the European Parliament buildings, the Lex 2000, the Instrumental Museum (Old England), the Theatre of Namur, the Saint-Jean Clinic, GlaxoSmithkline, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Sofitel Brussels Europe, the Havré sorting centre, etc. Valens is an integral part of the Belgian holding company Eiffage Benelux which belongs to the French group Eiffage, one of the European leaders in construction.
