Everett Knight

Everett Knight is the EVP of Strategy and Investments at Valens. Everett has over 9 years of experience in the finance industry. Prior to joining Valens, Everett was a Portfolio Manager at Matco Financial Inc. from 2013 to 2018. During their time at Matco, Everett was responsible for building economic models, constructing discounted cash flow models, and completing in-depth analysis on competing companies. Everett also worked with the New Ventures portfolio to complete ongoing projects and deals. Prior to Matco, Everett worked as an Analyst in the New Ventures department at Petrominerales from 2011 to 2012. During their time at Petrominerales, Everett built economic models on the acquisition of Total’s 5% interest in the ODC pipeline, constructed discounted cash flow economic models, and built spreadsheets of comprehensive analysis on competing companies. Everett also completed an in-depth country exploration opportunity analysis and effectively worked with the New Ventures portfolio to complete ongoing projects and deals. Everett has also held the position of Vice President Community Development at the Haskayne Commerce Undergraduate Society from 2009 to 2011.

Everett Knight attended the University of Calgary where they obtained their Bachelor of Commerce in Finance. Everett is also a Chartered Financial Analyst, having obtained their certification from the CFA Institute.
