Samir Kulkarni

Samir Kulkarni, MBA, has extensive experience in process controls and operations management within the energy and engineering sectors. Currently serving as Manager of Process Controls at Valero Energy Corporation since April 2016, Samir directs the DCS migration strategy for ethanol production across multiple sites and develops strategies for control system platforms, including DCS and cybersecurity. Previously, as Director of Operations at PAS from July 2001 to April 2016, Samir led global operations teams, enhancing project cost-effectiveness through strategic delivery centers. Other roles included Engineering Manager and Control System Engineer, where Samir managed projects worth millions and specialized in refinery process control. Samir's earlier career includes engineering positions at well-known companies such as Instrument Installation and Maintenance Company, Asian Paints, BASF, and Tata Consulting Engineers. Samir holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Mays Business School at Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation from the University of Mumbai.
