Tom Nysetvold

Tom Nysetvold is an experienced manager in the oil and gas industry, currently serving as the Manager of Reliability at Valero Energy Corporation since May 2014. In this role, Tom oversees fixed equipment engineering, electrical engineering, inspection, capital projects, and design departments for the Valero Houston Refinery. Previously, Tom held positions including Manager of Refinery Optimization, where responsibilities included developing optimized operating plans for a refinery capable of processing 255,000 barrels per day, and Staff Planning Engineer, focusing on feedstock planning and optimization across various refineries. Tom possesses a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University. Additional experience includes leading development efforts at the Center for e-Design and a mechanical engineering internship at Valero.
